I'm going to keep this question unscreened if you're all right with that, anon. Considering what's been happening, it is an absolutely excellent question.

The answer at this moment is...I am seriously considering it - to the point where I've created a konranites account at Dreamwidth. But I don't know. Obviously I'm not 100 percent on board with moving the game right at this moment.

On the one hand, I don't want to leave, of course, since Livejournal's been RP central for me for years and a home for my personal journal for even longer - a decade. And people are trying to work around the changes to return subjects and such.

On the other hand, the indication seems to be Livejournal won't change it back since its only the beginning (http://lj-releases.livejournal.com/71858.html?thread=7504818#t7504818) of a huge redesign and this is prompting many, many people who roleplay to start leaving. I've already got people I know saying they won't return to LJ, or that they are now only staying for one or two games and that they will be going elsewhere.

However, I'm not going to leave you guys in a lurch, especially so close to the game's (intended, at least) opening. I'm going to sleep on it tonight at least - I don't want to take too long, obviously, especially if I move the game to Dreamwidth and any potential players who want to sign on will need to get accounts before the open accounts period closes.

TD;LR. Stay tuned, I will have a much more concrete answer tomorrow.

Or tonight, even. I mulled it over, and decided on something I think everyone who was looking into the game might be interested in.

I would suggest, for characters under a specific age, remove the options for spouses, for one. As well, make sure the job matches up with the age or you have genius kids all over the place?

Thank you for the suggestion! All of our character names, jobs, and family relations are chosen by RNG-- at this current moment of time, we are allowing for rerolls in regards to what work a character is tied to and their relation; but it's entirely up to the mun. Each occupation is only generalized, so it gives the mun themselves the chance to do what they wish with that specific field; be that as a superior, or even an apprentice or trainee for that qualification. So some kid geniuses may crop up here and there, however others may take a more generalistic approach.

It's something we'll definitely look into if there's further concerns; the subject on spouses not being added to the RNG before a set age is certainly a good suggestion, so thank you!
